We would rather get one thing right.

Nubo is a home robot. It learns how a household actually runs, then takes the small daily work off your hands without asking for your attention in return.

We are fourteen people across two studios. The shell is knitted in Como. The behavior is built in Cambridge. Between them, one product, currently living in 140 homes.

Every robot we tested wanted to be the center of the room. Screens, chimes, a wake word repeated until it listened. We kept thinking about the opposite. A machine that earns its place by asking for nothing.

So we started with behavior instead of features. What should it do on its own. When should it wait. What does it never interrupt. The hardware came after the manners. Three years later, Nubo is the result.

Useful before impressive.

If a feature exists to demo well rather than help daily, it does not ship. We killed half the list this way and the product got better each time.

Nubo observes and moves without announcing itself. No wake word, no chime, no light asking to be looked at. Silence is the resting state.

Perception runs on the device. Nothing it sees or hears leaves the house to make the product work, and there is a shutter you can close over the lens.
